DUET Aeronautical Society, Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur, April 2018
In April 2018, as President of the DUET Robotics Club, I founded the DUET Aeronautical Society as the club's sister organisation, dedicated to drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). DUET's robotics work had already earned recognition across the country, and interest in drones was growing quickly among our students, alongside a clear need for research in this field in Bangladesh.
The society was created to involve more students in drone and UAV development and to support research and innovation in aerial robotics. It was inaugurated on 8 April 2018 at DRC FEST 2018, with Prof. Dr. Md. Anwarul Abedin, Professor of EEE and Adviser to the DUET Robotics Club, and Prof. Dr. Md. Raju Ahmed, Head of the Department of EEE and Adviser to the DUET Robotics Club, alongside members of the club. Among its early work was the first aerial video of the DUET campus.
