Convener

I served as Convener of DUET TECHFEST 2017, the first science and technology festival ever held at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur. Jointly organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the DUET Robotics Club, the festival was created to give students from DUET and universities across Bangladesh a platform to engage with fast-changing technology and share their innovative ideas.

Held on 14 July 2017, DUET TECHFEST 2017 brought together more than 700 participants from 35 universities. The festival was inaugurated with Prof. Dr. Mohammed Alauddin, Vice-Chancellor of DUET, as chief guest, and featured an inter-university robotics challenge with the Race of Victory and Speed Battle competitions, an Engineering Olympiad, a project exhibition, lectures and workshops. It was the largest event of its kind DUET had ever hosted, and one of the major student technology festivals in the country that year.

Leading the festival from concept to delivery was one of the most rewarding achievements of my university life. As Convener, I coordinated the organising committee, managed planning and logistics, and worked closely with faculty, sponsors and volunteers to bring the event to life. The festival established a lasting tradition, and DUET TECHFEST has continued to be held almost every year since.
