Competition · 2nd Runner-up
RoboTour & Programming Contest 2015
Organized by IEEE RUET Student Branch and Department of EEE, Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), 8–9 January 2015
RoboTour & Programming Contest 2015 was a two-day national technology event at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), organised jointly by the IEEE RUET Student Branch and the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with a grant from the American Center of the U.S. Embassy, Dhaka. Alongside seminars on career development, robotics and programming, it hosted a national robotics contest and a programming contest open to undergraduate students from universities across Bangladesh.
I competed with my team in the robotics contest, where autonomous robots were tested on their speed, accuracy and reliability on the competition track. Our robot finished as 2nd Runner-up, placing third overall and winning a prize of Tk 10,000.
RoboTour 2015 was our team's first national podium finish. It gave us the experience and confidence that carried us on to further results at Mecceleration 2015, and to championship wins at ROBOLUTION 2016 and Cybernauts 2016.
