A half-day robotics workshop at Sonargaon University, Dhaka, where I led the technical session for EEE students as an invited speaker.
- How a robot is built
- Sensors and microcontrollers
- Motor drivers and control
- Robot programming
- Competition robotics

The Department of EEE at Sonargaon University, together with the School of Engineers, organised this workshop at the university's Green Road campus in Dhaka to introduce its students to practical robotics. I was invited as the technical session speaker, a year after graduating from DUET and while working as a shift engineer at Summit Power.
The workshop ran from 1:00 to 5:00 pm with three instructors. Danial Islam, President of the DUET Robotics Club, opened with the keynote. Engr. Hasan Mahmud, AGM of the Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB), also spoke. I led the technical session.
In my session, I walked students through how a robot is built, from sensors and microcontrollers to motor drivers and programming, drawing on my experience of designing competition robots with DUET Robo Express and building DUET's first flying drone with DUET Runway-71.
Before the session, I toured the department's laboratories, including its PLC and microcontroller training panels, and spoke with students about their practical work.
At the close, the organisers honoured me with a crest as Technical Session Speaker. The workshop ended with a group photo with the students, faculty and guests.
